Minoru is a reporter who was assigned to investigate the Tsurinage. In the process, he and his cameraman companion get dragged into a subplot of investigating the magic club. He first appears on a boat in the bay typing. He is a very take-charge kind of guy. He likes to order the cameraman around and makes the decisions for the twosome.
Minoru is tall and strong (he managed to grab onto the tsurinage robot and hold himself up over Tokyo - well, until something distracted him and he lost his grip ^_-). He encounters Akane as she's being chased by an alien robot and tries to protect her. He also gets involved in the fight against the tsurinage in episode 6 (it's a spoiler ^^;) and he has feelings for Akane.
